A very pleasing end to the season, just one defeat all year, and really happy to have have won the Bowl in this league.

Bit of an unknown against the Bengals, and I was particularly worried by their experienced roster. But my Vikes played a decent mistake free conservative game, in keeping with the rest of the season and we came through to take the title.

So I'm now done with Basic, have enjoyed being in this league and it's nice to bow out with a Bowl victory. Off to concentrate on Advanced and Nu (where attention really needs to be paid given recent results...).

Good luck to all left in NFLBS.

Congratulations Chris, always nice to bow out of a league when at the top!

Out of interest, how did my old Bills do in the playoffs?

    Thanks Martyn.

Your Bills went 14-2 the regular season with the league #1 ranked offense (scoring a whopping 582 points along the way) and dominated the AFC, but had an apparent meltdown in the divisional round against the Wild Card Chargers and lost 27-21. Might have been 'one of those games' with 2 ints and 3 fumbles for the Bills to only 1 int on the Chargers' side.

    Thanks for the reply.

What I expected, quite often teams that have been successfully coached for many years and go deep into the playoffs in the final season perform well the first uncoached regular season, but slip up as soon as the playoffs start. Shame they lost to the uncoached Chargers though - Coach Gick was always a nemesis of mine, even when neither of us are coaching the teams apparently!
