Well the Irish/Cardinal match up proved to be the hardest, nail biting, toe curling contest Notre Dame has faced in many a while. We jumped out to a 14-0 lead and then did enough to keep our noses in front while the high octane Stanford offence kept chipping away at the lead. Down 38-35 the Cardinal had 2nd and goal at the 3 with 1:25 to play. Fortunately for me my D, as they so commonly do, made a big play sacking QB Andrew Luck for an 8 yard loss, then on third down a TD saving tackle brought up 4th and goal at the 4 yard line. On came Mike Biselli to slot home the 21 yd chipshot and it was all tied up, and we remain fractionally on top of the division by that slender half game.
Something tells me this aint the end of the Irish/Cardinal story this season!
