Wow, this game always manages to throw a curve ball every now and then lol. I was cruising 27-0 with 10 minutes left of the game with my defence totally shutting down Andy's offence, then they run the kick off back for a TD; my next possession I fumble and they run it back for a TD; then my next possession after that, I throw an interception but they only manage a field goal. They scored 17 points in 3 minutes lol.

Bloody hell - we've won again!!! 2-5 is hardly a cause for celebration but the ship has definitely steadied and we've got back to playing something like 'Titans ball'. I know the Chiefs are probably uncoached but they're still a very useful team and (unlike last week) I genuinely think we deserved to win this game.

Now can we make it 3 on the bounce against the Steelers? They look in great form but we'll give it a good go. I don't think we have any chance of the postseason but no harm in trying and just seeing whether we can get back .500.

Well, that was the WORST game i've ever had the misfortune to be a part of, :( , 19 penalties, 21 punts & just over 300 yards total, The Bengals offence is almost as bad as ours, (no offence Richard), they only scored after an INT at our 25 Yd line. Thank god that's over

Cheers

Ouch!

I think the technical term for that is 'a damn good thrashing'

I think Goz has sorted his recent problems.

Interested to read your game Neil - a pretty messy game!! The only consolation I can give is that the Bengals have a knack for doing that to you and making it an ugly game. With the abilities of their DBs, they are probably the nightmare matchup for the style you like to play - especially when you haven't got your roster anywhere near how you'd like it yet.

Very relieved to get past a very strong Bronco team. :relief:

Excellent Denver special teams kept us with constant long fields and their defence, particularly their Run D, made life very difficult. We went to the locker room at the half scoreless and looking for inspiration. QB Dan Marino stepped up to produce a stellar third quarter of play in the air and on the ground and swiftly saw us get out to a 14-3 lead. Denver's offence produce a fine long drive but Miami defensive resistance stiffened in the red zone to limit it to a FG.

Into the last quarter a Denver 3 and out saw another brilliant punt, and Miami PR Bess fluffed the catch and gifted the Broncs with the ball only 29 yards out. Another 3 and out as The Fish defence bailed the team out again and limited the damage to 14-9 with 10 minutes to go. Miami moved the chains on the net drive but two fine defensive stops had the Fins facing 3rd and 17 and 60 yards out. A blown Denver coverage left rookie WR Brian Hartline uncovered and he sprinted untouched all the way to paydirt for a stunning 60yd bomb, 21-9 Miami. Not to be outdone, Denver returned the KO to Miami's 25 yd line. The broncos cashed in another fine special team play to clock in a TD making 21-16 with just over 2 minutes to go. Miami were forced to go 3 and out leaving Denver with a 1st down 80yds to achieve victory. Bronco's QB Jay Cutler went all out pass but Miami's DE Jason Taylor burst through to sack and strip the QB of the ball to which S Wilson recovered. Miami iced the clock and settled for a last play FG to record a relieved 24-16 win.

It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win, especially over a high calibre side. With the Pats going down we sneak a game clear again coming into the biggest AFC East divisional game in some time. Good luck for it Marc, it should be a beauty! :football:

Very happy with the solid win over Dallas. The defense keeps on improving, and while the offense sputters at times, it usually does the job. Looking forward to the Chicago game, a win there would put us at .500 :o :P

I was also bemused looking at some of the results around the league - from Jason's absolute domination of the 49ers to the punting contest in Oakland, from the aerial shootout in Tampa to the odd scoreline in Texas, not to mention upsets in Pittsburgh and New Orleans!

You can never get too comfortable in Gameplan!

After 4 straight wins I must admit I had been expecting a fifth,
but, lack of training, a D/DL/WC completion, and Bob's your
Auntie, what was looking like a win evaporated in the final
minute and ended up with an O/T loss!!

I think I may be regretting that one........ :(

Delighted to have such a huge performance on the road against the 49ers. I think that 361 yards rushing is a personal best for me in Gameplan. G-men sitting nicely on top of the East at the moment with the Redskins huge upset loss to the Saints in what must be the shock of the season so far IMHO.

Team needs to stay focused for next weeks visit of MTP's high flying Cardinals.
:thanks:

Well Dave my orders are in so here's looking forward to a great game and (hopefully for me) a decent result for my Pats. To be honest in preparing for this game I was reminded of a football manger in the 1970's who went to Anfield to scout out the great Liverpool side managed by Bill Shankly at that time. He came out of the game declaring "I've found their weakness - the half time pies were a bit mushy".... :)

Best of luck Dave - should be a good one anyway!
